1 Chronicles 28
David assembles Israel's leaders in Jerusalem, explains YHWH forbade him from building the temple due to his bloodshed but chose Solomon to succeed him as king and construct it, and urges obedience to YHWH's commandments for enduring possession of the land.[1][2][3] David charges Solomon directly to serve YHWH with a whole heart, hands him divine plans for the temple's detailed construction, and encourages him to be strong, assuring YHWH's presence until completion.[1][2][3][4]
