The ark of the covenant is placed in the tent David prepared in Jerusalem, followed by burnt offerings, peace offerings, and distributions of food to the people in the name of YHWH. David appoints Levites led by Asaph to minister, thank, and praise YHWH before the ark with music, delivers a psalm recounting YHWH's covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, promising the land of Canaan, and establishes ongoing worship at the ark and the tabernacle in Gibeon.[1][2][5]
