Obadiah 1

Obadiah pronounces divine judgment against Edom for their pride and betrayal of Judah during Babylon's conquest of Jerusalem in 587 BCE, declaring that Edom will be completely destroyed while Yahweh restores his people to Mount Zion. The prophecy warns that all nations who act with Edom's arrogance and refuse to aid their neighbors will face the Day of the Lord and experience the same fate they inflicted on others.
