Proverbs 9

Proverbs 9 contrasts **Lady Wisdom**, who builds her house with seven pillars, prepares a feast, and invites the simple to partake and walk in understanding, with **Woman Folly**, who seductively calls the naive to her house offering stolen pleasures leading to death in Sheol.[1][2][3] It teaches that the fear of YHWH is the beginning of wisdom, wise ones welcome correction while scoffers reject it, and personal choices yield personal consequences.[1][3]

She has sent out she sent her maidens her young women she calls you will call upon upon tops of backs of the heights of heights of the city gathering city

Verse 6

Forsake Abandon! the foolish naive ones and live and live, you all! and proceed and they declared fortunate in the way in a path of understanding discernment

Verse 7

corrects one who disciplines a scoffer scorner gets the one who takes dishonor disgrace and rebukes and the one who reproves a wicked man to a guilty man insults his blemish

do not upon / over reprove may you bring correction a scoffer scorner lest lest he hate you he will hate you reprove bring correction a wise man to a wise man and he will love you he will love you

Verse 9

Give Give! to a wise man to a wise man and he will be wiser and he will act wisely still still, again, further Teach was made known a righteous man to a righteous man and he will increase and Yoseph learning Take!

beginning of beginning of wisdom wisdom fear of awe-of the LORD Yahweh Yahweh and-knowledge of knowledge-of the Holy Ones set-apart ones understanding discernment

For for/because by me — will be multiplied they will multiply your days your days and will be added and they will add to you — years years of of life lives

Verse 12

If if / whether you are wise you acted wisely you are wise you acted wisely for yourself — and if you scoff and you mocked alone by yourself alone you will bear you will lift

Verse 13

woman of woman of folly foolishness is boisterous roaring one naive naïve susceptibility and not and not at all knows she knew anything what?
