Leviticus 15

YHWH establishes laws regarding bodily discharges and menstruation, declaring those with such conditions ceremonially unclean and prescribing washing and waiting periods for purification.[1] The chapter emphasizes hygienic principles and requires women to bring sacrifices after their menstrual period ends before resuming physical relations with their husbands.[1]

Every entirety of the bed the lying-place on which that-which he lies he will lie down on it upon him the one with discharge the discharging one becomes unclean he becomes unclean and every and whole of the vessel the prepared implement on which that-which he sits may he dwell on it upon him becomes unclean he becomes unclean

And whoever and a man who that-which touches he touches his bed in his lying-place shall wash he will launder his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

and whoever sits and the one dwelling on upon the vessel the prepared implement on which that-which he sits may he dwell on it upon him the one with discharge the discharging one shall wash he will launder his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

And the one who touches the touching-one the flesh of flesh of the one with discharge the discharging one shall wash he will launder his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

and if and because he spits he will spit the one with discharge the discharging one on the clean one in the pure one then he shall wash and he laundered his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

וְ/כִֽי 𐤅/𐤊𐤉 vekhi and if and because HC/C יָרֹ֛ק 𐤉𐤓𐤒 yaroq he spits he will spit HVqi3ms הַ/זָּ֖ב 𐤄/𐤆𐤁 hazav the one with discharge the discharging one HTd/Vqrmsa בַּ/טָּה֑וֹר 𐤁/𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓 batahor on the clean one in the pure one HRd/Aamsa וְ/כִבֶּ֧ס 𐤅/𐤊𐤁𐤎 vekhibes then he shall wash and he laundered HC/Vpq3ms בְּגָדָ֛י/ו 𐤁𐤂𐤃𐤉/𐤅 begadayv his clothes his garments HNcmpc/Sp3ms וְ/רָחַ֥ץ 𐤅/𐤓𐤇𐤑 verachats and bathe and he washed HC/Vqq3ms בַּ/מַּ֖יִם 𐤁/𐤌𐤉𐤌 bamayim Amanzi (Zulu) in water in the waters HRd/Ncmpa וְ/טָמֵ֥א 𐤅/𐤈𐤌𐤀 vetame and be unclean and he became unclean HC/Vqq3ms עַד 𐤏𐤃 ad until up to HR הָ/עָֽרֶב 𐤄/𐤏𐤓𐤁 haarev the evening the mingling-evening HTd/Ncmsa

And any and whole of saddle the riding-vehicle which that-which he rides he rides on it upon him the one with discharge the discharging one shall be unclean he becomes unclean

וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal And any and whole of HC/Ncmsc הַ/מֶּרְכָּ֗ב 𐤄/𐤌𐤓𐤊𐤁 hamerekav saddle the riding-vehicle HTd/Ncmsa אֲשֶׁ֨ר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher which that-which HTr יִרְכַּ֥ב 𐤉𐤓𐤊𐤁 yirekav he rides he rides HVqi3ms עָלָ֛י/ו 𐤏𐤋𐤉/𐤅 alayv on it upon him HR/Sp3ms הַ/זָּ֖ב 𐤄/𐤆𐤁 hazav the one with discharge the discharging one HTd/Vqrmsa יִטְמָֽא 𐤉𐤈𐤌𐤀 yitema shall be unclean he becomes unclean HVqi3ms

Verse 10

And whoever and whole of touches the one who touches anything in entirety that that-which shall be he will come to be under him beneath him; in his place shall be unclean he becomes unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening and the one who carries and the lifting-one them them shall wash he will launder his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

And anyone and the whole of whom that-which touches he touches him — the one with the discharge the discharging one and his hands and his hands not not rinsed he overflowed in water in the waters and wash and he laundered his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to evening the mingling-evening

and-vessel and implement of earthenware potsherd which that-which touches he touches it — the-one-with-discharge the discharging one shall-be-broken he will be shattered and-every and whole of vessel prepared implement of wooden wood-tree of shall-be-rinsed he will be swept away in-water in the waters

וּ/כְלִי 𐤅/𐤊𐤋𐤉 ukheli and-vessel and implement of HC/Ncmsc חֶ֛רֶשׂ 𐤇𐤓𐤔 cheres earthenware potsherd HNcmsa אֲשֶׁר 𐤀𐤔𐤓 asher which that-which HTr יִגַּע 𐤉𐤂𐤏 yiga touches he touches HVqi3ms בּ֥/וֹ 𐤁/𐤅 bo it HR/Sp3ms הַ/זָּ֖ב 𐤄/𐤆𐤁 hazav the-one-with-discharge the discharging one HTd/Vqrmsa יִשָּׁבֵ֑ר 𐤉𐤔𐤁𐤓 yishaver shall-be-broken he will be shattered HVNi3ms וְ/כָל 𐤅/𐤊𐤋 vekhal and-every and whole of HC/Ncmsc כְּלִי 𐤊𐤋𐤉 keli vessel prepared implement of HNcmsc עֵ֔ץ 𐤏𐤑 ets wooden wood-tree of HNcmsa יִשָּׁטֵ֖ף 𐤉𐤔𐤈𐤐 yishatef shall-be-rinsed he will be swept away HVNi3ms בַּ/מָּֽיִם 𐤁/𐤌𐤉𐤌 bamayim Amanzi (Zulu) in-water in the waters HRd/Ncmpa

And when and because he is cleansed he will be pure the one with a discharge the discharging one of his discharge from his abnormal discharge then he shall count and he counted for himself — seven seven (of) days days for his cleansing for his ritual purity and wash and he laundered his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed his body his flesh in water in water living lives and be clean and he became pure

וְ/כִֽי 𐤅/𐤊𐤉 vekhi And when and because HC/C יִטְהַ֤ר 𐤉𐤈𐤄𐤓 yitehar he is cleansed he will be pure HVqi3ms הַ/זָּב֙ 𐤄/𐤆𐤁 hazav the one with a discharge the discharging one HTd/Vqrmsa מִ/זּוֹב֔/וֹ 𐤌/𐤆𐤅𐤁/𐤅 mizovo of his discharge from his abnormal discharge HR/Ncmsc/Sp3ms וְ/סָ֨פַר 𐤅/𐤎𐤐𐤓 vesafar then he shall count and he counted HC/Vqq3ms ל֜/וֹ 𐤋/𐤅 lo for himself HR/Sp3ms שִׁבְעַ֥ת 𐤔𐤁𐤏𐤕 shiveat seven seven (of) HAcmsc יָמִ֛ים 𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌 yamim days days HNcmpa לְ/טָהֳרָת֖/וֹ 𐤋/𐤈𐤄𐤓𐤕/𐤅 letahorato for his cleansing for his ritual purity HR/Ncbsc/Sp3ms וְ/כִבֶּ֣ס 𐤅/𐤊𐤁𐤎 vekhibes and wash and he laundered HC/Vpq3ms בְּגָדָ֑י/ו 𐤁𐤂𐤃𐤉/𐤅 begadayv his clothes his garments HNcmpc/Sp3ms וְ/רָחַ֧ץ 𐤅/𐤓𐤇𐤑 verachats and bathe and he washed HC/Vqq3ms בְּשָׂר֛/וֹ 𐤁𐤔𐤓/𐤅 besaro his body his flesh HNcmsc/Sp3ms בְּ/מַ֥יִם 𐤁/𐤌𐤉𐤌 bemayim Amanzi (Zulu) in water in water HR/Ncmpa חַיִּ֖ים 𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌 chayim living lives HAampa וְ/טָהֵֽר 𐤅/𐤈𐤄𐤓 vetaher and be clean and he became pure HC/Vqq3ms

and-on-the-day and in the day the-eighth the eighth he-shall-take he will take for-himself — two two turtledoves turtledoves or or two two of young/sons-of sons of pigeons/doves dove and-he-shall-come and he came before to the face of the LORD Yahweh Yahweh to toward entrance opening-of tent portable tent-dwelling of-meeting appointed time and-he-shall-give-them and he gave them to toward the-priest the officiating priest

And everything and the whole of that that-which she lies she will lie down on it upon him during her menstrual impurity in her exclusion-impurity shall be unclean he becomes unclean And everything and the whole of that that-which she sits she will dwell on it upon him shall be unclean he becomes unclean

And whoever and whole of touches the one who touches her bed in her lying-place shall wash he will launder his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening

And if and if lies to lie down he lies he will lie down a man man with her her and is and let her be her impurity her exclusion-impurity on him upon him he shall be unclean and he became unclean seven seven (of) days days and every and whole of the bed the lying-place on which that-which he lies he will lie down on it upon him it shall be unclean he becomes unclean

And-if-a-woman and a woman if for/because flows-out he will ooze a-flow pathological discharge of-her-blood her blood days days many many not without time object marker of-her-menstruation her exclusion-impurity or or if because she-flows she will ooze beyond upon her-menstruation her exclusion-impurity all entirety of days-of days of flow pathological discharge her-uncleanness her ritual impurity as-days-of days of her-menstruation her exclusion-impurity she-shall-be you will become unclean ritually unclean she she

Every entirety of the bed the lying-place on which that-which she lies she will lie down on it upon him all entirety of the days days of of her discharge her oozing discharge like the bed like a lying-place of of her impurity her exclusion-impurity shall be he will come to be to her — And every and whole of the vessel the prepared implement on which that-which she sits she will dwell on it upon him unclean ritually unclean it shall be he will come to be like the uncleanness like ritual impurity of of her impurity her exclusion-impurity

Verse 27

And whoever and whole of touches the one who touches them — shall be unclean he becomes unclean and shall wash and he laundered his clothes his garments and bathe and he washed in water in the waters and be unclean and he became unclean until up to the evening the mingling-evening
