2 Kings 2

Elijah is taken to heaven by a chariot of fire and whirlwind after journeying with Elisha from Gilgal to the Jordan; Elisha receives a double portion of his spirit, takes Elijah's mantle, parts the Jordan waters, and later purifies Jericho's water and curses youths who mock him, demonstrating YHWH's power through prophetic succession[2][5][7].

and they came out and they went out sons of sons of the prophets the proclaiming-spokesmen who were that-which at Bethel House of El Beyt El Bethel toward Beyt El to toward Elisha El-is-salvation Elisha and they said and they said to him toward him Do you know have you known that for/because today the day the LORD Yahweh Yahweh will take away the one who takes — object-marker your master your lords from over from upon your head your head And he said and he said Yes also I I know I knew be quiet Keep silent!

And it came to pass and he became when they had crossed as their crossing over that Elijah and My-God-is-YHWH and Eliyah said he said to toward Elisha El-is-salvation Elisha Ask ask what what? I shall do I will do for you — before beforehand I am taken I will be taken from you from being with you And he said and he said Elisha El-is-salvation Elisha let it be and he becomes please please portion mouth of double two of your spirit in your breath-wind on me toward me

And it came to pass and he became they they walking walking ones and walking going and talking and speak! behold and look! chariot chariot of fire fire and horses and horses of of fire fire separated and they caused to separate between between the two of them the two of them went up and he caused to ascend Elijah My God is YHWH Eliyah in a whirlwind in the storm to heaven the lofty-heights

and-Elisha And El-is-salvation and Elisha seeing seeing one and-he and he crying-out the loud-crying one my-father my father my-father my father chariot chariot Israel El-Contends Yiserael and-his-horsemen and his war-horsemen and-not and not saw-him he saw him anymore still, again, further and-he-grasped and he made strong in-his-garments in his garments and-he-tore-them and he tore them into-two to two pieces torn pieces
